Merry Christmas, & Happy New Year Begindergarten Parents,
Attached is both Decembers and Janurary's snack calendars. In January we always start our healthy eating unit, so we take turns bringing things from certain food groups when we have the treat bucket.
FOR JANUARY NOT DECEMBER:
Example: calendar says your child is the star this week, and on Tuesday he/she needs to bring Meat group. Perhaps a sandwhich, meat and crackers, etc. Thursday it says to bring dairy. You could bring cheese and crackers, yogart, icecrean cups, cheese sticks. etc. The possiblities are endless. Same goes for the vegtable and fruit groups. You would be surprised at how much children really learn to like these types of snacks after having them at school. :)
Going back to December, you can see that we will be having our December Christmas party on December 16th. This year to make it easy, if your child is a boy please buy a $5 to $7 boy gift to exchange. If your child is a girl, please bring a $5 to $7 girl gift to exchange. NO CANDY GIFTS PLEASE!!!!
Those bringing food for the Morning party are:
Peyton pickles
Reagan sandwhiches
rhylan something fun/backed etc.
Shyanne chips
Zack brings popsicles or ice cream bars
Those bringing food for the Afternoon Party are:
Jayda pickles
Jackson sandwiches
Lyndi something fun/backed etc.
Presley chips
Sabian popsciles or ice cream bars
Once again the Journal has invited us to write letters to Santa. We make it fun by taking the letters up to the Journal and placing them in the Santa Mail Box. Please sit down and write a letter with your child and send it to school on December 7th. We then in turn will be walking the letters over to the Journal on The 9th. The Journal will not accept letters after the 10th of December, so it is nice that we do it as a class.
December tends to be kind of hectic and goes rather quickly. If I should think of anything else, I will let you know..
Merry Christmas
Ms. Kocher
